I love the story and read it quite a while ago, but this is less of a review then a question. I was wondering if the Dreamless Sleep potion that is mentioned in "Tea with the Black Dragon" is actually a potion in the Harry Potter universe or if it is one you made up for the story. If it is one you made up, then I was wondering if I could use a potion similar to the Dreamless Sleep in a fan fiction I am currently working on. E-mail me, thanks.

I found this fascinating. I must have read every MLC story and it always struck me that I would rather denounce the Wizarding world than agree to such terms and it always bothered me that everyone's Hermione never even considered it as an alternative. Thank you for actually thinking the circumstances through and making the right choice.

Awesome. Yep, I followed this over from the wiktt list and you are right. This is a far more accurate firsttime! than any I've ever read in fanfic. It actually reminds me of....well, never mind that! Given the circumstances, I might have done the same thing as Trelawney.

Oh my, I am so glad to have read this! After every MLC I read I am always frustrated. They make me seethe as for all I have ever identified with Hermione I would not take it. I would go in a dramatic display fitting the occasion of a useless life. Thank you for this take. Really, I thought Harry and Ron were wonderful and the Headmaster, delightful. Hermione was tragicaly in character. I'm gushing and happy which in dealing with character death probably points to a psychiatrist's chair but yes that is indeed the real answer.

I finally got around to reading, and I have to say, I loved it! I've watched a couple of Queer Eye eps, and I have to say you've captured the tone of the show really well.
The Snape/Fab Five interaction was priceless, particulary every single one of Carson's lines. And I nearly died when Snape said Ted would make a good Slytherin.
It is very silly, certainly, but the fun kind of silliness, and a good antidote to all the angst I've been reading lately.

I apologize for taking so much time between finishing this story and reviewing. I am just going over all the stories I have booked marked and realized that I did not review the final chapter. Sorry!
As you know I am a huge HG/SS fan - die hard fan, so every story I read HG and SS must end up together or else I feel disappointment and depressed but in your story, Transisitons, it was so appropriate the way you ended it. Your character development for each was strong and you decision in the end that they did not fall head over heels in love was the perfect ending for this story! Super, super job!!!
Hugs, Corazon

This comment is for the previous reviewer, regarding the 'humor' of Lana Macknir's story.
Just because the author calls something a comedy does not make it funny. If someone wrote a story about killing babies and called it a comedy because they think killing babies is funny, you'd likely think that author was a bit sick. This is a very similar reaction that many people feel at the idea of someone being forced to have a child that they don't want. They see it as an invasion of that person's freedom, and an abominable thing to curse a child to be unwanted.
It's just not funny. It's disgusting. The fact that Lana finds that funny says something about her and her sense of right and wrong. When an author writes, they expose their own views on things. If they can't take criticism for what they say, they have the wrong hobby.

What can I say? I read the original story and I found it great, because I've got few humor, which seems not to be your case... Yeah, your version is not so bad, but the thing I don't like is that you have judge Lana Manckir's "horrifying conclusion". It was just à fiction! She doesn't think that in real life! Nobody thinks that we can force someone to have a baby! She just wrote a STORY, and the end was had humoristic effect, that's all! Well, that is xhat I had to say Excuse me if you don't understand everything, english is not my native language bye
